You guys would love this!
The Fulbright office organized an afternoon on Friday for Cindy to meet the other Fulbright Scholars in Sweden. We walked through the Vasamuseet which is built around the raised Viking warship Vasa, the largest ship of her time, who sunk on her maiden voyage in 1628. The tour was led by a Fulbright Scholar from 2005-2006 who has stayed on to work with the museum. Vasamuseet is the most visited museum in Scandinavia. It's an amazing ship:
We then went to the Nordiska Museet (Nordic Museum) for a tour and lunch. The people were very interesting and when our lunch together was over Amblen and Ben went to the "playroom". This was not a conventional playroom with lots of brightly colored plastic slides and noisy games with batteries. Rather, it was a compete farm model from the Swedish countryside set sometime in the past (you'll see that it reminded us of stories we have heard about 1920s Iowa).
Everything was hands-on and Amblen was wishing he had some cousins/friends to play with. This will definitely be on the list if any of you little guys come over here!

I'm glad you arrived safe and are enjoying your new surroundings. Amblen seems to be fitting right in! Enjoy this wonderful opportunity!
